  • Sole Software Engineer owning the first major overhaul in 10 years of a legacy PHP 5.6 e-commerce platform (9M+ requests/month), migrating it to Go and Next.js from audit (15+ critical risks identified) and architecture to implementation. Strangler fig approach: domain by domain, no big-bang rewrite.
  • Built the ERP-backed checkout and customer-specific B2B pricing: server-side order creation, province-aware taxes (GST/QST/HST), carrier selection and ERP-confirmed totals. Designed to fail closed (no invented amounts, order blocked on calculation errors) and covered by 70+ automated tests.
  • Reverse-engineered third-party systems (ERP, parts lookup, PIM) through network inspection and API probing, validating each contract before migrating.
  • Results: raised desktop Lighthouse Performance from 55 to 95 (lab) by migrating 100+ SCSS files to Tailwind v4 with no visual regressions, and cut parts-lookup API latency from 820ms to 6ms on cached calls with token caching in a native Go proxy.
